Road Trip Part 2: America

The final photos from the road trip of all road trips. Across the Canadian border along the coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California and inland to Lake Tahoe. Past moody coastlines and tranquil rivers. Some things went according to plan, others not. That's life on the road. No, that's life.

As much as I look forward to traveling to far-off places, I will never tire of exploring my home country. There is so much diversity of landscape and culture to be seen as long as you're willing to drive a little.

I think often about my dream to someday buy a little Scamp trailer to gut and completely re-do with funky fixtures and probably one too many throw pillows. We could tow it behind us on our weekend adventures. I can already hear Charlie complaining about the decrease in our gas mileage. He thinks of practical things like that; I'm more of head in the clouds kind of gal. We balance each other out like that. I, for example, remind him that food is one of the greatest pleasures in life and should not be pulled out of a freezer and microwaved, and he reminds me that maybe right now isn't the best time to raise five chickens or adopt a goat.

Where are your favorite places to road trip to? Any must-see natural attractions you'd highly recommend? I want to hear about them.
